The Year of St. Joseph will take place in the Diocese of Charlotte from January 1, 2020 – May 1, 2021. Below is a list of events taking place to celebrate the Guardian and Protector of the Holy Catholic Church. Mark your calendars and get involved!
Year of St. Joseph 2020 Diocesan Events
January 1, 2020 | Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God Kick-off Mass at Cathedral of St. Patrick with Bishop Peter Jugis. Bishop Jugis will offer the 9:00am Mass & announce 2020 as the Year of St. Joseph |
January 5-12, 2020 | Solemnity of the Epiphany Sacred art featuring St. Joseph displayed via digital projection mapping onto the Diocesan Pastoral Center. View on the lawn or sidewalk at 1123 South Church Street between the hours of 6:00pm – 10:30pm |
March 19, 2020 | Solemnity of St. Joseph, Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary All parishes are encouraged to have a feast day Mass in honor of St. Joseph. Coronavirus update: To see which parishes are offering Mass and which parishes are live-streaming Mass, click here. |
May 1, 2020 | Feast of St. Joseph the Worker Outdoor Mass with Bishop Jugis at the new St. Joseph College Seminary. 22 Arctus Ave., Mt Holly, NC 28120 New time, 5:30pm: (Private) outdoor Mass on the new seminary campus. Coronavirus update: Due to social restrictions the faithful are not permitted to attend. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be live-streamed on YouTube via the Catholic News Herald. |

June 13, 2020 | Catholic speaker event on St. Joseph Mariology professor Dr. Mark Miravalle will give a morning & evening talk on St. Joseph at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church followed by the annual parish Fatima procession. Sept. 11 – 12, 2020 | Catholic speaker event on St. Joseph Fr. Donald Calloway, MIC, author of Consecration to St. Joseph: The Wonders of our Spiritual Father, is scheduled to speak on St. Joseph at the 2020 Eucharistic Congress for the Diocese of Charlotte.
